In Reply To New How is the resonance comparing to B&B at 2k~3K? posted by FLY 1 (Dallas) on July 30, 2003 at 06:52 AM

Message Is it nasty (somewhat unbearable to some people) like B&B? or quiet/comfortable like other brands at this rpm range?

You know, there is a bit of raspiness to this exhaust, just like the B&B. It doesn't seem to be any louder, it's just a bit deeper toned. With the resonators I've heard from two people that have them that it drastically reduces it. Not 100% gone, but it's barely there and for having TPs/DPs that's probably all we can ask!

My B&B at idle and slight rev (up to 2.5K) vibrates the aluminum cover parking and neighbors' windows and resonates the empty 5 gallon water bottle, does LaBree do that?

This thing is pretty deep but it didn't set off any alarms in my work parking structure this morning whereas my B&B used to. That's really not scientific enough...wish I could answer that better!

How is the overall volume? Is it quiet at cruise/light throttle and loud screaming when opening it up.

That's exactly how it is. You can give it mild/moderate throttle and sound like most cars on the street...but if you give it a lot of throttle it awakens the beast. It's quite unassuming.

Got photos of the quad oval design(s)? Slant cut tips or straight cut?
Slant cut tips available for quad rounds?

Hmm...I don't have pics of the quad though I'll try to get some from the other exhausts. They are straight cut tips. He was going to slant them but when he got them tucked back there was no need at all...looks killer straight.

Alright, be honest. What is/are your dislike(s) on this catback? :-P

Honestly, the only one is that it smokes a bit for the first few miles because of the inside paint...I thought my turbos were going bad for a split second LOL. Really, nothing bad just yet. If you're concerned about the noise, hit me up via email in a week and I'll have more data/experience for you
